There is no denying the fact that WhatsApp has grown faster than our dreams. At this time of the year in 2013 the company had just 200 million users. By January 2014 it had added another 200 million and now it has crossed 600 million mark. So it seems unstoppable in every sense of it.
The biggest and most serious competitor to WhatApp is WeChat that has around 100 million users at the moment. Meanwhile Facebook seems to have invested very sanely when it bought WhatsApp for as much as $19 billion.
When it comes to India, the company seems to have done quite well. The company has added more than 10 million users in the last three months alone and now the number of its Indian subscriber is around 60 million users. This means 10 percent of its users are from India.
